Cooper Lighting has completely updated and redesigned its long-established Menvier Britelite emergency luminaire,
making
it even easier to install, improving its aesthetics and adding several new versions to the range.
Carrying both a BSI kitemark and ICEL approval, this
high-quality luminaire features excellent optical performance and is
equipped with a 3-cell, 4Ah battery that provides a much higher light output than typical low-cost emergency bulkheads,
which means that far fewer Britelites are required to cover a given area.
The resultant reduction in installation time can make a Britelite emergency lighting scheme much more cost-effective than
using so-called low-cost bulkheads.
Utilising a T5 fluorescent light source, the Britelite range now includes both surface-mounting and low-profile recessed
versions, the latter featuring a maximum visible height of only 30mm.
In addition, Britelite can now be specified with a choice of self-test or central addressable testing functionality and is also
available as a slave luminaire for use with central battery systems.
All versions are supplied in two parts: a first-fix base incorporating a heavy-duty connector block, and a combined geartray
and diffuser assembly, which is simply snapped into place to complete the installation.
